Principal's Message
Flushing High School, as the oldest public high school
in the City of New York, has opened its doors to the young people of Queens
for the past 159 years. Our student body mirrors the city's many varied ethnic backgrounds
and cultures as well as socio-economic levels,
celebrating a central theme: "A quality education is the foundation
to a secure, prosperous and exciting future! We believe that we can succeed
in surpassing the high expectations set before us." Our staff firmly
believes that our role is to nurture, to shape and develop the minds and
bodies of our students in a safe and harmonious environment. Our students,
the learners of today, will be prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
